MOVIE REVIEW "Cowboys and Aliens (with some Indians and one hot chick)"
Not every movie is a juggernaut of ideas. Not every movie has to be. Forget the big questions: How did we arrive on this planet? Is love and all other emotions real, tangible things or merely evolutionary contrivances to propagate the human race? How do we make the world a better place? Forget two questions like the deeper meanings of “There Will Be Blood” or what exactly we are to make of that spinning top that ends “Inception” as they have no place here. “Cowboys & Aliens” is about as stupid, nutty, and mindless as you can get. It’s all there in the title. No high concept, no deeper truths. That’s fancy-pants egghead stuff. The only question that matters is who will in a war between western townsfolk and extraterrestrials, or to borrow from Charlie Kaufman’s twin who phrased it so perfectly in “Adaptation”, what will transpire in “a battle between technology versus horse.”

There are times when I think working (the verb “working” used loosely) for SUCKRADIO.com is a little silly. Well, truthfully…MOST of the time I think working for SUCKRADIO.com is A LOT silly. Nonetheless, as our slogan goes; “…If we don’t suck, someone else will!”
